Under Section 137(4)(a) of the Local Government Act 1972 grants are available from the Parish Council up to £500.00 . These can be paid to non-profit organisations and must be for the benefit of the parishioners. The policy document can be found under the “Your Council” tab, under “Our Policies”
For larger grants, applications can be made to the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) fund. Ringmer PC receives 25% of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) charged by Lewes District Council on qualifying development in the area. These funds can be used to fund infrastructure projects or address the demands that development places on Ringmer. This includes the provision, improvement, replacement, or maintenance of infrastructure, or anything else that helps mitigate the impacts of development.
